Matrix HR is seeking skilled Industrial Painters and Coaters for a major energy infrastructure project in Prince Rupert, BC. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough surface preparation including cleaning, grinding, sanding, and masking
- Apply industrial coatings and protective finishes according to project specifications
- Operate and maintain industrial painting equipment such as airless sprayers and plural component systems
- Utilize abrasive blasting equipment and mechanical power tools for surface prep
- Assist with rigging activities and safely operate aerial work platforms as required
- Use testing instruments like DFT/WFT gauges and holiday detectors to ensure work integrity
- Ensure all work meets project quality standards and technical specifications
- Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to ensure effective project execution
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial painting or coating is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with surface preparation and various coating application techniques
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team
- Experience in industrial, commercial, marine, or energy environments is a strong asset
- Familiarity with industrial coating equipment and testing instruments
- Ability to work in a camp environment for the full duration of the project
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Must be located within Canada
