Infrastructure Security Consultant / Infrastructure Security Analyst

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Employment Type: Full time Consultant

Contract Duration: 3 Years The Infrastructure Security Consultant / Infrastructure Security Analyst will provide senior-level cybersecurity and infrastructure security expertise to support the Government of Saskatchewan's critical IT environments.

The consultant will work with the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch (CSRM) on initiatives involving infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity maturity, security architecture, legacy-system retirement, and renewal of critical Government IT environments.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in IT, Solutions Architecture / IT Design, and IT Architecture, with the ability to work independently on complex infrastructure security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security

Lead cybersecurity activities associated with upgrading and renewing critical Government IT environments.

Provide cybersecurity oversight for Government technology initiatives.

Support information security and infrastructure renewal initiatives.

Contribute to security architecture activities.

Help reduce security risks within critical information systems.

Cybersecurity Maturity

Participate significantly in the Government's Cybersecurity Maturity Program.

Assess and support improvements to security capabilities and infrastructure environments.

Apply cybersecurity and architecture expertise to modernization initiatives.

Infrastructure Modernization

Support the redesign, upgrade, renewal, and modernization of critical IT environments.

Support infrastructure renewal initiatives from an architecture and security perspective.

Identify security and infrastructure considerations during technology modernization.

Legacy Environment Retirement

Support the retirement of legacy technology environments.

Assist with identifying security, architecture, integration, and infrastructure considerations during decommissioning.

Help ensure legacy-system retirement activities are completed in a controlled and secure manner.

Architecture & IT Design

Provide Solutions Architecture and/or IT Design expertise.





Perform IT Architecture responsibilities across assigned initiatives.

Develop and evaluate technology approaches that align with security and infrastructure requirements.

Provide technical recommendations to Government stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, technology, and business stakeholders.

Provide technical guidance and recommendations.

Communicate complex infrastructure security matters clearly to stakeholders.

Perform additional cybersecurity, infrastructure renewal, and security architecture assignments as directed by CSRM.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements

Information Technology Experience: Demonstrated experience working full-time in an Information Technology-related field.

Solutions Architecture / IT Design: Demonstrated experience with Solutions Architecture and/or IT Design.

IT Architecture: Demonstrated working experience performing Information Technology Architecture responsibilities.

Workplace: Primarily onsite at a Government of Saskatchewan office

Full-time consulting engagement

Standard business hours based on the Government consulting engagement

Exact daily hours may be finalized with the Government





Hybrid/remote work may be possible depending on Government requirements

Consultant must be prepared for onsite work in Regina

Required travel and accommodation for onsite Regina work must be included in the hourly rate.
