- Develop in-depth knowledge of one or more industries and publicly traded companies - Provide investment recommendations for securities within industry coverage - Maintain up-to-date investment theses and financial models on portfolio companies - Recommend changes to portfolio composition when appropriate - Meet regularly with management of publicly traded companies - Visit company operations and perform required due diligence - Develop a pipeline of potential investment opportunities - Assist Client Servicing/Business Development with client queries, data collection, presentations, promotional material, and communications - Review proxies and determine voting in accordance with firm policies - Participate actively in investment team meetings - Contribute to teamwide investment decisions and portfolio recommendations Requirements - Bachelor’s degree - MBA or M. Sc. in finances or other pertinent area (asset/optional) - Excellent academic results - Between 2 and 5 years of skilled experience - CFA charterholder (an asset) - Professional experience or interest in the information technology, financial services, healthcare, or energy industries (an asset) - Experience in other industries is also considered - Passion for investing and interest in financial markets - Strong curiosity and desire to learn - Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and independent mindset - Excellent research skills and resourcefulness - High level of judgment and ability to critically and independently analyze large amounts of information - Strong work ethic, discipline,
