Job Responsibilities

- Develop in-depth knowledge of industries and publicly traded companies

- Provide investment recommendations for securities within industry coverage

- Maintain investment theses and financial models for portfolio companies

- Recommend changes to portfolio composition when appropriate

- Meet with management of publicly traded companies and visit their operations

- Perform required due diligence

- Develop a pipeline of potential investment opportunities

- Assist Client Servicing and Business Development with client queries, data collection, presentations, promotional material, and communications

- Review proxies and determine voting in accordance with firm proxy voting policies

- Actively participate in investment team meetings

- Contribute to teamwide investment decisions and portfolio recommendations

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree

- MBA or M. Sc. in finances or other pertinent area

- Excellent academic results

- Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience

- CFA charterholder (an asset)

- Professional experience or interest in the information technology, financial services, healthcare, or energy industries (an asset)

- Passion for investing and interest in financial markets

- Strong curiosity and desire to learn

- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and independent mindset

- Excellent research skills and resourcefulness in acquiring information

- Ability to critically and independently analyze large amounts of information

- Solid work ethic, discipline,



and consistency in applying investment principles

- Technical knowledge required to analyze companies and investment opportunities

- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

- Ability to excel as part of a team

- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

- Knowledge of English required; multilingualism, including French/English and/or other languages, is an asset

- Ability to communicate with business leaders from various countries
