Job Title: IT Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada( Hybrid)

Duration : 12 Months

Introduction

We are seeking a Product Business Analyst to oversee the enhancement and development of a Post Trade Technology Platform. This role demands deep experience in Capital Markets, with broad product knowledge across Equities, Options, Futures, and Fixed Income Post Trade operations.

The successful candidate will define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that enable efficient post trade lifecycle management, strengthen risk controls, and improve operational effectiveness across Global Markets Post Trade functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

- 7 years in Product Management, Business Analysis, Middle Office, Operations, or Post Trade Technology within Capital Markets.
- Experience delivering technology solutions supporting post-trade workflows and operational processes.
- Experience with trade lifecycle systems, FIX protocol, and post-trade workflows.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

- Experience with cloud-based platforms and data analytics tools.




- Prior experience in building or enhancing Middle Office technology platforms.
- Good understanding of settlement functions - Equities (DTCC, CDS), Fixed Income (FED, BONY, DTCC, CDS), Options (OCC, CDCC) and Futures product (GMI).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

- Develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap for Post Trade platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Collaborate across Front Office, Middle Office & Back Office operations, compliance, and technology teams to gather requirements and prioritize features.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline trade capture, allocation, confirmation, and settlement processes.
- Partner with vendor engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-performing post-trade solutions.
