We are seeking an experienced IT Manager – Business Systems & Technology to lead and support the technology environment of a growing, multi-location organization. The IT Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s technology function across infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, telecommunications, end-user support, data-intelligence support, vendor management, and technology strategy.
This role will provide direction, establish priorities, manage escalations, develop standards,
and provide overall leadership while ensuring employees across the organization receive reliable and effective technology support.
As the IT Manager, you will bring practical experience in the following areas:
- Leading IT support teams
- Managing outsourced IT or managed service providers
- IT infrastructure and network management
- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft cloud technologies
- Cybersecurity and business continuity
- Identity and access management
- Business systems and enterprise applications
- ERP implementation or migration
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Power BI, Power Automate, Power Platform, or Dataverse
- Data and systems integration
- VoIP and telecommunications
- Corporate cellular and mobile-device management
- Hardware and printer fleet management
- Vendor and contract management
- IT project management
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
- Provides a high level of internal customer service
- Understands business priorities as well as technology security requirements
- Communicates technical issues clearly to non-technical people
- Works effectively with all employees in the organization
- Can lead, coach, and develop technical employees
- Can effectively manage both internal resources and outsourced technology partners
- Thinks analytically and solves problems methodically
- Is comfortable making decisions and establishing technology standards
- Manages multiple priorities across a geographically dispersed organization
- Is disciplined about security, controls, documentation, and reliability
- Can challenge existing practices when a better solution is available
- Is interested in using technology and data to improve efficiencies in the organization,
not simply maintain it
Experience within an equipment dealership, agricultural dealership, automotive dealership, heavy equipment organization, distribution business, manufacturing company, or other multi-branch service organization would be an advantage. A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent practical experience will be strongly considered.
Relevant Microsoft, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, IT service management, Dynamics, or project-management certifications would also be considered assets.

Preference will be given to candidates located in British Columbia's Fraser Valley region. Qualified candidates residing elsewhere in British Columbia or Northern Alberta may also be considered.
The annual salary for this role is typically $90,000 to $150,000 per year and represents a range across all of PrairieCoast’s BC and Alberta locations. It is influenced by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant training, and work location.
In compliance with the BC provincial government mandates, we are posting a broad wage range to adhere to the wage transparency requirements.
