Hiring: IT Project Coordinator

Location: Edmonton, AB – Remote

Type: Contract

Previous Public Sector/Government experience preferred

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Coordinator to manage a portfolio of Request for Service (RFS) and Government Reorganization (GR) projects involving IT infrastructure, technology services, office relocations, and organizational changes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the setup and reconfiguration of technology services for recent facilities and office relocations.
- Coordinate IT systems and infrastructure requests while ensuring alignment with business requirements and service standards.
- Manage multiple IT projects across different business areas and technical teams.
- Coordinate IT changes related to organizational restructuring, including department changes, movement of programs, services, and personnel.
- Coordinate changes involving Active Directory, security groups, user accounts, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, network drives, business applications, and telecom services .
- Lead stakeholder consultations, project meetings, status meetings, and project discussions.
- Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Prepare project plans, status reports, project documentation, and management updates.
- Coordinate resources, vendors, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure projects remain on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain project documentation and status information in SharePoint .
- Identify and track risks, issues, dependencies, and required actions.
- Ensure appropriate change management, cybersecurity, operational, and governance processes are followed.
- Support proof-of-concept initiatives and limited production rollouts.




- Provide quality control and coordination for production implementations.
- Review new technology and service requests and assess their impact on the operational environment.
- Provide technical recommendations and guidance to management, operations, and project teams.
- Use AI tools responsibly to improve project coordination, reporting, documentation, analysis, and team productivity while maintaining security and privacy.

Ideal Candidate:

- Strong experience coordinating IT infrastructure and technology projects .
- Experience managing multiple projects or a portfolio of smaller, fast-moving projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and vendors.
- Strong documentation, reporting, risk/issue tracking, and project governance skills.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with organizational changes, office moves, technology implementations, or similar IT service transition projects is an asset.
- Public sector/Government experience is preferred.
