Position: Job Search Workshop Facilitator - Employment Counsellor

Term: Part-time, 17.5 hours per week (September 2026 – March 31, 2027)

Reports to: Manager ofCommunity Economic Development Program

Location: 275 Bay Street

Position Summary The Position will require providing pre-employment information, guidance and support to internationally trained professionals. This Position, as a member of the Job Search Workshop (JSW) team, supported and coordinated by World Skills, is also responsible for conducting intake, assessment and referrals; facilitating JSW workshops and providing one-on-one employment counselling services for eligible clients.

Main Responsibilities

· Conduct client intake and assessment of client’s employment readiness, and define short/long term career goals;

· Deliver client orientation sessions;

· Provide appropriate employment coaching/support and follow through;

· Provide referrals to other programs/services as needed;

· Coordinate program networking events and workshops;

· Participate in program outreach activities;

· Assists with recruitment and onboarding of volunteers involved in the project,

· Keep accurate records of client information and services delivered;

· Collect and enter data on client services for reporting purposes;





· Become familiar with and comply with all OCISO’s policies and procedures; and

· Any other duties assigned to you as may reasonably be required in line with the Position’s main responsibilities.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and work experience;

· 1-2 years of related experience working in employment support, human resources, employment counselling, or labour market integration;

· Knowledge of the labour market trends;

· Experience in developing and facilitating workshops and presentations;

· Experience with dealing with newcomers to Canada;

· Strong verbal and written communication skills;

· Proficiency with current computer applications, database such as iCare, Carmis;

· Fluency in English; and

· Ability to communicate in additional languages is an asset.

Salary & Benefits

$25,179 - $25,707 annually. Comprehensive advantages plan including health, dental, RRSP plan, and generous leave entitlement.
