How to apply

Apply directly through this posting. A cover letter is required to be considered for this role.

Applications submitted without a cover letter will not be reviewed. In your cover letter please share five examples that demonstrate your HR expertise and five character assets you believe will contribute to this role and to TheMineryWay.

A note on AI: We are an AI-forward organization and we use tools like Claude every day. We also know the difference between a response that came from a person and one that came from a prompt. We encourage you to use AI as a tool to support your thinking, but your cover letter, your examples, and your resume must be yours.

Generic statements and blanket descriptions tell us nothing. Specific examples that only you could write tell us everything. We are hiring you, not your AI. We will be able to tell.

About The Minery The Minery is a trusted automotive consulting firm delivering HR, Leadership Development, and Customer Experience solutions to dealerships across Canada. Founded by Heather Macpherson,

a recognized leader in the Canadian automotive HR space and the founder of HR4, which she built and sold in 2025, The Minery brings over 20 years of industry presence and a network that runs deep.

The role

As the Jr. HR & Culture Consultant, you will serve as an embedded HR partner across a portfolio of The Minery's client dealerships, building working relationships with General Managers and key management personnel at each location. The first six months will focus on two foundational priorities: mastering HR4, the HRIS platform The Minery specializes in, and owning full-cycle recruitment for your assigned clients from point of application through to onboarding.

From there, responsibilities expand progressively across employee relations, performance management, client reporting, and additional client accounts, as you build toward a Senior HR Business Partner role.

What you will do

- Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned client accounts within HR4 — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and onboarding
- Build sourcing strategies and maintain active talent pipelines for recurring and priority roles
- Maintain a consistent, trusted on-site presence across assigned client locations
- Build strong working relationships with GMs, department managers, and staff
- Support Sr. HR & Culture Consultants with employee relations matters, documentation, and policy interpretation
- Maintain accurate, high-quality recruitment and employee records within HR4
- Participate in recognition events,

team initiatives, and morale programs
- As experience grows: lead employee check-ins, support performance management, and help prepare quarterly HR reviews

What we are looking for
- 1 to 3 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or a related field
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruitment is a strong asset
- Holds or is actively working towards a CHRP designation
- Comfortable in a client-facing, consulting, or multi-stakeholder environment
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data accuracy and documentation
- A proactive, ownership-oriented approach — you identify what needs to be done and take initiative
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and modern HR platforms
- Knowledge of the automotive or dealership sector is an asset but not required

What we offer
- $55,000 to $65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
- 3 weeks paid vacation
- Remote work flexibility — 2 days per week
- A structured, supported pathway toward a Senior HR Business Partner designation
- Exposure to a diverse portfolio of automotive clients and HR practices across the Toronto area
- The backing and support of The Minery's full team and operating framework
