Athens Greek Restaurant is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking person to join our team in Fort McMurray.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to help wherever needed. This is a hands-on restaurant position that includes kitchen support, cleaning, food preparation and occasional customer service.
You do not need to be an experienced cook. We are happy to work with someone who has a good attitude, is dependable and is willing to learn.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your duties may include
- Helping with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting and preparing ingredients
- Assisting the kitchen team during busy periods
- Keeping kitchen work areas clean, organized and sanitary
- Washing dishes, utensils, equipment and kitchen items
- Cleaning counters, floors and other restaurant areas as required
- Restocking supplies and ingredients
- Helping receive and organize food and restaurant supplies
- Following food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Helping with packaging and preparing takeout orders
- Assisting customers or the front counter when needed
- Supporting other members of the Athens team wherever help is required
Who We’re Looking For We would like to meet someone who is:
- Currently living in Fort McMurray or the immediate local area
- Reliable and able to arrive for scheduled shifts on time
- Friendly, respectful and comfortable working with customers and coworkers
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment
- Able to stay organized and work efficiently
- Willing to help with both kitchen and cleaning duties
- Able to work as part of a team
- Available for restaurant shifts, including evenings and/or weekends as required
