The Eurofins network generated EUR 7.296 billion revenues in FY 2025, and has been one of the fastest growing listed European companies for almost three decades. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the Laboratory Technician will be responsible for providing basic technical support,
preparation and analysis within the Biopharmaceutical Chemistry Testing Laboratory. This is a deadline-based, high-pressure work environment with on-going projects for a variety of clients.
The Laboratory
Technician will have some experience (including academic) in handling wet chemistry or instrumentation analyses and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The incumbent must be energetic, exceedingly well-organized, flexible, and must have the ability to interact with customers and staff in a fast-paced setting, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
The Laboratory Technician must: Be familiar with a number of routine and some non-routine wet chemistry methods and procedures
- Be proficient at data retrieval and interpretation of routine analysis or tests
- Be able to write lab reports
- Be able to work under GMP and GLP guidelines, and be familiar with USP and pharmaceutical testing. Be able to perform other duties as assigned by Lab Manager. Ensuring accurate reporting in lab books. degree preferably in Chemistry, or diploma in related field
- A solid background and understanding of Chemistry is mandatory
- Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office,
especially Excel. 1-3 years working with wet chemistry techniques; ~ Experience working with pharmaceuticals; ~ Experience working in a contract laboratory considered an asset. A good command of English is necessary
- Demonstrate satisfactory work performance and attendance record;
Working Conditions: This position will be working in a laboratory environment where standing is required for greater than 50% of the time to work at the bench for analyses. Please note that relocation to Mississauga, ON is expected in 2026.
