Duties
- Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for trimming, edging, and general maintenance
- Support excavation activities using equipment such as excavators for grading and digging tasks
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and health of landscape features
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, weeding, and debris removal
- Help with construction projects like building retaining walls or pathways under supervision
- Conduct regular inspections of landscape areas to identify maintenance needs or hazards
Requirements
- Prior experience with construction or landscaping is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with operating equipment such as excavators is a plus
- Ability to handle hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic understanding of horticulture, gardening practices, and landscape maintenance techniques
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and general garden care is advantageous
