LEAD AI SECURITY ARCHITECT

Our client, a global financial services firm, is seeking a Lead AI Security Architect to serve as the architect and technical authority for an enterprise scale AI Agent Security program. This role owns the design of the security model across discovery, monitoring, segmentation, threat detection, and operational integration for AI agents, and provides technical governance across the engagement. AI security experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities

- Own end to end architecture for the AI Agent Security capability, spanning discovery and inventory, runtime monitoring, segmentation and enforcement, threat detection, and SOC integration
- Serve as design authority: define current state and target state architecture, trust boundaries, data flows, and integration patterns, and approve implementation approaches
- Provide technical governance and quality assurance across all deliverables, ensuring alignment with enterprise security, risk, and compliance standards
- Lead stakeholder engagement with client architecture, SOC, risk, and compliance teams, and represent the engagement in quarterly executive reviews




- Own the technical escalation path and serve as the final review gate for architecture, detection content, and operational documentation
- Direct and mentor the Senior Security Engineer and Security Engineer to ensure consistent delivery quality
- Own the documentation strategy across architecture, configuration, runbooks, administrator guides, knowledge transfer workshops, and final transition reporting

Qualifications
- 8+ years in security engineering or security architecture, with demonstrated experience architecting security programs at enterprise scale, ideally in a regulated industry
- Required experience securing AI agents or AI workloads, including runtime behavior monitoring and AI specific threat detection
- Hands on experience with Cisco Hypershield, Cisco AI Defense, or comparable enterprise segmentation and AI security platforms
- Solid background integrating security controls with SIEM, identity, and telemetry pipelines
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive level communication skills
- Relevant security certification (CISSP or equivalent) preferred
