Job Overview

As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing various carpentry projects. This role requires a high level of skill and experience in carpentry work. Ability to work on remote job sites is necessary.

Duties

- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, formwork, finishings, concrete work, installing windows, doors, and cabinets
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and laborers
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct quality control checks on finished work
- Coordinate with other trades on construction sites

Experience

- Proficient in caulking, flooring installation, assembling, installing roofs, heavy lifting, and using hand tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of carpenters effectively
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry work
- A Red Seal certification and strong knowledge of the BC Building Code would be preferred

Job Type: Full time Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
