Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to run our Saturday morning Lil Turtles Ninja Warrior class(ages 3-5yrs).

The class runs every Saturday for eight weeks (starting Nov 7th) from 10am - 11am. The overall working time will be two hours 9am - 11am. One hour is to set up and class planning and the second hour is the class.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in leadership position and be passionate about teaching and aiding children. This role requires you to be comfortable working with small children teaching them skills such as hanging, swinging, jumping, balance, tumbling, and climbing.

Class is a mixture of 2-3 structured lessons and unstructured free time where children move freely on the obstacle floor.

On busier weekends there will also be an opportunity to help with birthday parties.

There is a second coach on with you to help direct and manage children but you will be responsible for running the class.

Duties

- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards (proper spotting techniques)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating atmosphere for all participants




- Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the coaching area
- Lesson planning - There is a outline of obstacles, circuits and lessons but coaches are welcomed to bring new ideas and creativity to the program.

Requirements

- Saturday morning availability
- Experience working with small children in a similar role
- Patience
- Communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage participants
- Passion for teaching and helping others achieve their personal best
