- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications

- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to Full Scope of Practice. NRP certified if not, then must be NRP certified within 3 months.

- IV Initiation - IV Management - Blood Glucose Monitoring - Medication Management - Maternal Child Assessment Skills - Demonstrated ability to use connect care - Work as a team player - Endoscopy preadmission and Post op experience an asset - There is opportunity to cross train to other nursing departments.
