Job Overview

We are seeking a Cook to join our team. The candidate will assist in line duties, food preparation, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking and service. Candidates with restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or a background in the food industry are encouraged to apply. An understanding of food safety and handling procedures is vital for success in this position.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as required for daily menu items
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks and dishwashing
- Ensure all food items are prepared timely to meet service demands




- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages or issues

Qualifications

- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills and reliability
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
