Infosys is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to support Cisco initiatives focused on automation, model optimization, and tooling enhancements. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in Python, modern ML/AI frameworks, data preprocessing, and workflow automation. This role requires strong analytical ability, effective problem-solving, and the capability to work collaboratively across engineering and data-focused teams.
Must-Have Technical Skills (3+ Years)
Machine Learning & AI
- Strong proficiency in Python for ML development.
- Hands-on experience with ML/AI frameworks such as:
- TensorFlow
- PyTorch
- VLLM
- LLaMA / LLM fine-tuning
- Solid understanding of
- Data preprocessing
- Feature engineering
- Model tuning, evaluation, and optimization
Automation & Tools
- Experience developing automation scripts/tools to eliminate manual processes.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for external tool/service integrations.
Core Responsibilities
- Build, fine-tune,
and optimize ML/LLM models using modern frameworks.
- Develop automation tools/scripts to enhance productivity across teams.
- Prepare and preprocess datasets for training and inference workflows.
- Integrate models with other systems via REST APIs.
- Analyze and improve ML model performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data, networking, and automation.
- Document models, workflows, automation logic, and processes clearly.
Problem-Solving Requirements
- Ability to identify workflow bottlenecks and propose ML-driven or automation-based improvements.
- Strong analytical mindset to evaluate pipelines, tools, and optimization outcomes.
Communication & Collaboration
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and distributed teams.
- Capable of explaining complex ML concepts in a clear, concise manner.
