Job Title: macOS Developer

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced macOS Developer (Contract) to join our engineering team onsite in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in macOS application development using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C, along with a deep understanding of Apple's development ecosystem.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining macOS applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the architecture, performance, and quality of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain macOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C
- Implement and manage local data storage using Core Data, SQLite, or SwiftData
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver new features and improvements
- Participate in architectural design discussions and code reviews
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Debug and resolve performance, compatibility, and functional issues across macOS versions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and workflows




- Maintain technical documentation and support deployment activities

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–7 years of professional experience in macOS or iOS application development
- Strong hands-on experience developing macOS applications (mandatory)
- Proficient in Swift and SwiftUI
- Solid understanding of Objective-C
- Experience with SQLite, Core Data, or SwiftData for local storage
- Familiarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and macOS design principles
- Strong debugging and optimization skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have

- Experience with Mac Catalyst application development
- Knowledge of AppKit, Combine, or CloudKit
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Xcode Cloud, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with App Store deployment or enterprise distribution
- Exposure to security frameworks, code signing, and sandboxing
