We are looking for a motivated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone relatively new to the maintenance or construction industry who has some hands-on experience and is eager to build their skills.
You’ll support general property upkeep, light repairs, cleaning tasks, and improvement projects. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in maintenance, repairs, and light construction while working in a supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine cleaning and deep cleaning tasks
- Assist with minor repairs and general property upkeep
- Basic drywall repair (patching, sanding, touch-ups)
- light construction tasks and small renovation projects
- Painting and finishing work
- Moving materials, equipment, and heavy items as required
- Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintaining tools and keeping work areas organized and safe
- Supporting larger projects under supervision
Qualifications
- Some previous experience in maintenance, construction, renovation, or related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation is an asset
- Ability to work independently and take direction well
