We are looking for a Relief Full Time Maintenance Worker 5 to join our team at the Burnaby Hospital in Burnaby, B.C.

As an ideal candidate, you bring experience in trades approaching the journeyman level in one or a variety of trades areas such as mechanical and plumbing.

Detailed Overview: Performs trades duties approaching the journeyman level in one or a variety of trades areas such as mechanical and plumbing; performs installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of assigned mechanical equipment and rolling stock throughout the facility.





Responsibilities

- Performs mechanical repairs to equipment such as washers, dryers, floor scrubbers, tow mobiles, pallet jacks, dishwashers, conveyors, garberaters and a variety of hospital rolling stock.

- Installs plumbing fixtures and systems such as taps, sinks, and toilets by extending and /or changing water supply and waste lines and fitting pipes.

- Installs, repairs and replaces doors and associated hardware such as door closures, locks, and door hardware.

- Maintains an inventory of supplies, equipment and tools; completes related reports and records; recommends purchase of related supplies and equipment.

- Clears snow and salts sidewalks, walkways and grounds as required.

- Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

Grade 10, plus four (4) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
