Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Facilities & Maintenance, the primary focus of the Maintenance Supervisor is to support and continuously improve all aspects relating to the production and processing of composite utility poles. As a member of the RS team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and skilled growth.
Responsibilities
Daily review and investigation of equipment performance issues from shift summaries and downtime database entries to coordinate repairs as needed
Support skilled trades staff and Production Dept. daily to maintain equipment uptime
Generate work orders and assist skilled trades in scheduling, component sourcing, completion and follow up communication
Assist in troubleshooting machine issues
Involvement in weekly Maintenance communication meetings
Administrative duties including handling vacation bookings, shift changes, schedule extra shifts when needed and answering payroll questions, etc. for skilled trades staff
Safety work orders-develop and coordinate completion and follow up
Monitor wet-out box cleaning performance and schedule
