Location: Primary Care Network Wellness Centre at #4000,1800 194 Avenue SE; Calgary, AB Reports to: Director, Finance & Human Resources Position Summary As a member of the Management Leadership Team, the Manager, Family Care Clinicis responsible for overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations of the SCPCN clinic/centre. This role leads a team of professionals in fostering a work environment that supports the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive patient care and services through collaborative and professional relationships with primary care staff, physicians, patients, and other internal and external stakeholders. What Does the Role Do?

Clinic

Operations and Resource Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic/centre, ensuring patient flow is optimized without compromising quality of care. Plan and manage clinic operations, including monitoring delivery of patient services and coordinating office systems, processes, and procedures. Manage staff schedules to meet operational requirements and ensure the clinic has the necessary personnel and infrastructure to accomplish business plan objectives.

Manage clinic space planning and resource allocation activities to support changing patient, program, and operational needs. Complete other related responsibilities not detailed here but that could reasonably be expected.

People

Leadership and Staff Support Serve as the main point of contact for clinic staff requests and concerns, including sick calls, vacation requests, professional development requests, and other operational matters. Lead, supervise, mentor, and coach clinic support and interprofessional clinical staff, including recruitment, orientation, training, staff development, and performance reviews. Promote a supportive work environment for all staff and lead teams in the provision of comprehensive patient services.

Patient

Care, Collaboration, and Communication Collaborate with SCPCN leadership, clinical and administrative teams, physicians, allied health team members, Medical Office Assistants, and other interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and maximize patient care outcomes.

- Lead the recruitment and onboarding processes for contracted physicians at the Wellness Centre. Act as the primary lead and liaison with contracted physicians at the Wellness Centre, as required. Oversee coordination and facilitation of communication between patients and service providers while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.



Act as a conduit between the SCPCN senior leadership team and clinic staff to ensure relevant information is communicated in a timely and accurate manner. Contribute to communication strategies that promote programs and services to patients and physician members. Quality, Compliance, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement Develop, revise, implement, reinforce, and assist with interpretation and administration of clinic policies, procedures, protocols, and standards. Assist in developing evaluation processes, facilitating data collection, and analyzing results relative to established objectives. Assess the effectiveness of patient care services through patient evaluations, quality assurance standards, operational reports, metrics, and identification of quality improvement opportunities. Complete documentation and reporting requirements, including compiling and disseminating program information, statistics, operational reports, and metrics in a timely manner. Recommend process, procedure, and service delivery improvements and support implementation of approved changes. Ensure compliance with current health care regulations, medical and privacy requirements, organizational Health and Safety programs, and Quality Systems.

Who Should

Apply? Baccalaureate degree in health administration or a related field an asset. Minimum of five years’ experience in a health care clinic setting required. Minimum of three years’ management experience required.

Experience leading multidisciplinary or interprofessional teams required.

Experience and working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record platforms required. Knowledge of the Primary Care Health Billing system for physicians is considered an asset.

Experience managing multiple program budgets, budget administration, and payroll processing is considered an asset.

Initiative to improve processes and confidence in assuming a go-to resource role within areas of responsibility.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and willingness to become familiar with new computer programs and systems. Professional and mature approach to customer service, with a positive and professional attitude.

Working Conditions Normal office environment. Some evening hours be required. Frequent interaction with management and staff from across the organization. Structured, yet dynamic workplace to meet the changing needs of the business. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required. Two supervisory references required. Criminal background check required.
