This ensures that we can consider your application appropriately in line with our dedication to supporting our Partner Nations. Assist with planning, managing and advancing a variety of geological projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Geologists-in-Training and Geological Technicians
- Coordinate and support underground mapping, sampling and geological data collection programs
- Assist with the collection, management, validation and interpretation of geological data to support grade control activities, geological modelling and operational decision-making
- Maintain and reconcile stockpile tonnage, grade and material allocation records, and support monthly reconciliation activities
- Track and monitor related geology initiatives to ensure desired results are achieved and maximum value is attained
- Review, compile and communicate geological production data for daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements, including assessment of weekly, monthly and three-month forecasts
- Provide geological support and effectively communicate geological risks, opportunities, recommendations, and technical input to Technical Services, Operations and Mine Planning teams
- Geological data review and interpretation leading to the development and refinement of geological, structural and mineralization models in support of grade control, resource evaluation and mine planning
- Support geological investigations and the evaluation of geological opportunities to improve orebody understanding, resource confidence, mine planning, and potential mineral resource growth
- Ensure geological data integrity through monitoring and reviewing of QA/QC programs in accordance with company standards and industry best practices
- Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility. Strong understanding of structural geology and its application to orebody interpretation and grade control
- Preferred 5 years of geological experience, preferably within underground mining operations and gold mining environments
- Strong competency in geological data analysis, geological interpretation, grade control practices, QA/QC procedures, and the application of geological datasets to modelling and operational decision-making
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Proficiency in English as the work will be done in collaboration with Agnico Eagle sites where the main language is English.
Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market. #
