About us
InnEd Academy is an after-school math centre in Stouffville. We work with students from JK to Grade 12, aligned to the Ontario curriculum, with a maximum of four students per tutor. Our approach is simple: we find where math stopped making sense and build from there and help gifted students accelerate at their own pace.
The role:
You will teach small groups of students in person at our centre on Innovator Ave. Sessions run Monday to Friday between 4:00 and 8:00 PM. Beyond homework help and test prep, your job is to help students understand why the math works instead of memorizing steps, make learning it exciting, and to build the confidence that comes with it.
What you will do:
- Teach small groups of up to four students
- Assess where each student is at and adjust your lessons accordingly
- Support homework and test preparation
- Track progress and keep clear session notes
- Keep parents informed about how their child is doing
What we are looking for:
- Solid communication skills
- Initiative. You see what needs doing and do it
- Fluent English
- Available in person, weekday evenings
- Willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
- A genuine interest in math is a plus
