About Bright Futures Health

Bright Futures Health is a pediatric-focused practice supporting infants, children and families through in-home, community-based, in-office and virtual services.

We are looking for a warm, collaborative and motivated music psychotherapist to join our growing team as an independent contractor.

The Role

This opportunity is ideal for a clinician interested in working with infants, children and families through both individual and group-based services.

The clinician will primarily support programming in Northern York Region and South Simcoe, including Aurora, Newmarket, King City, Bradford and surrounding communities, with opportunities to expand their caseload over time.

Responsibilities may include

- Facilitating music psychotherapy groups for infants, children and caregivers
- Providing in-home music psychotherapy services to children and families
- Supporting caregiver-child engagement through developmentally appropriate, music-based therapeutic approaches
- Completing clinical documentation in accordance with CRPO professional practice standards
- Collaborating with Bright Futures clinicians and community partners
- Participating in community-based programming as opportunities arise

Qualifications

Applicants must

- Hold Music Therapist Accredited (MTA) status, or meet the requirements to obtain MTA status




- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as an RP or RP (Qualifying)
- Have experience or a strong interest in working with infants, children and families
- Be comfortable facilitating small therapeutic groups
- Have strong interpersonal, organizational and documentation skills
- Be willing and able to travel to client homes and community locations throughout Northern York Region and South Simcoe
- Have reliable access to transportation required to provide community and in-home services
- Be able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check

Experience working with pediatric populations, neurodivergent children, infants, parent-child dyads and/or group programming is considered an asset. Why Join Bright Futures?
