Title: Network and Security Specialist

Target Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Remote, Montreal or Quebec City, and open to on-site visits as needed.

Duration: Permanent position.

Language: Bilingual or monolingual French.

Description: The Network and Security Specialist provides various solutions in the field of network and security.

Responsibilities

- Actively participate in solution delivery: pre-configuration, detailed architecture, installation, configuration, integration, validation, troubleshooting, progress reporting and documentation;
- Install, configure and test solutions at customer sites: problem resolution, ticket opening and tracking, and escalation processes as required;
- Develop and maintain relationships with, internal partners, strategic partners, and other complementary partners;
- Participate in network optimization studies;
- Analyze, design, and document scalable network engineering solutions;
- Configure, maintain, and support telecommunications infrastructures;




- Participate in WiFi architecture and design projects for various customers;
- Acquire and maintain skills and certifications.

Requirements

- 5+ years of networking and security experience;
- Five (5) years of experience with telecommunications technologies;
- Mastery of LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies;
- Designed and deployed T2/T3/T4 data center networks;
- Knowledge of Level 2 protocols (Ethernet, Spanning-tree, ARP, MAC);
- Level 3 routing (OSPF, BGP);
- Knowledge of network security technologies (firewalling);
- Wireless solutions;
- Knowledge of Fortinet, Cisco, CheckPoint solutions (a plus);
- Written and spoken bilingual English-French: presentations and frequent writing of documents;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Creativity and critical thinking;
- Ability to build solid, trusting relationships with colleagues and clients;
- Ability to keep abreast of the latest technological developments;
- CCNP certification a plus.
