About the Role
- An exciting opportunity to join the Network Services Team as an operations engineer performing pro-active support tasks, security patching, reactive support tasks, customer provisioning, and capacity monitoring within the Fixed Networks domain
- In addition, the Operations Engineer is expected to perform an implementation and handover role supporting Development Projects
- As an Operations Engineer you will be able to take on basic support & project tasks under supervision of the Head of Core Network Operations or a more senior Operations Engineer but will be able to work independently on some tasks

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with similar domain
- Experience working in a ITIL based environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Fixed Network technologies and protocols
- Knowledge of IP networking technologies
- Knowledge of ISO Quality Management (9001-2000) and Security (27001) procedures
- Self-motivate with a ability to work independently at times as well as collaboratively as part of a cohesive team
- Good written and verbal skills and able to communicate up to Head of Networks, both technical and non-technical
- Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure
- Analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
Education
- Preferred HNC/D or Degree in Electronic/Telecommunications or related technical discipline
- Preferred Cisco CCNA/CCIE/NP/IP/DP
