Contribute to seniors' well-being as an Occupational Therapist at AgeCare Shawnee in Calgary. Provide assessments, create treatment plans, and foster independence for residents through tailored care. This casual position requires you to assess and plan individualized therapy aimed at restoring and maintaining residents’ independence.
You will communicate regularly with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent care and supervise support staff as needed. The role focuses on implementing best practices in rehabilitation within a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess residents' rehabilitation needs and challenges
- Develop and document individual care and treatment plans
- Maintain ongoing communication with the care team
- Review and update Rehabilitation Department policies
- Ensure safe working conditions for residents and staff Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved Occupational Therapy program
- Eligibility for Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists membership
- MDS and RAI experience preferred
- Long-term care experience is an asset
