Delta Christian School is seeking qualified and caring

On-Call Junior Kindergarten Teachers to provide coverage as needed throughout the school year.

Our Junior Kindergarten program serves four-year-old children in a nurturing, play-based Christian learning environment. The program supports children’s social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and cognitive development while encouraging curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

The Role

On-call Junior Kindergarten Teachers provide substitute coverage when regular program staff are absent.

Responsibilities may include

Providing a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning setting

Following established classroom routines, plans, and activities

Supporting play-based and developmentally appropriate learning experiences

Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Supporting students with transitions, outdoor play, meals, and daily routines

Maintaining appropriate supervision and classroom expectations

Supporting the Christian mission, vision, and values of Delta Christian School

Qualifications

Successful candidates must

Hold a current Early Childhood Educator (ECE) licence in British Columbia





Have experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, school, or similar setting

Demonstrate warmth, patience, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills

Work collaboratively as part of a team

Be committed to the Christian faith and actively participate in a Christian church community

Support the mission, vision, and Christian educational philosophy of Delta Christian School

Be available for occasional work, sometimes on short notice A satisfactory criminal record check will be required as a condition of employment.
