Outside Sales Representative - Building Materials

Consolidated Gypsum Supply is a Western Canadian supplier of building materials. We are currently recruiting for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Saskatoon.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Drive sales and margin growth and increase volume for assigned accounts within assigned territory. Travel is required.
- Solicit orders from both current and prospective customers.
- Proactively seek new customers.
- Build robust, long‑term relationships through regular calls, on‑site meetings, and responsive support.
- Carry out merchandising programs as directed.
- Identify customer needs, resolve issues, and deliver solutions that drive loyalty.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines to achieve sales objectives and maximize profitability.
- Stay informed about market trends and recommend product additions or adjustments.
- Contribute to the development of sales forecasts.
- Maintain up-to-date customer records in compliance with company standards.
- Prepare and submit call and expense reports as required.
- Recommend new product additions and suggest modifications or discontinuations of existing products.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows as required.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Provide coverage on the sales desk as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- High school diploma, post secondary preferred
- Previous sales experience, in particular B2B (building materials, an asset)
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent organizationa, time and territory management skills
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (pick-up truck is ideal vehicle)
- Strong and relentless drive
