Introduction

We are seeking an experienced P6 Planner / Scheduler to join the owner's PMO team on a major mining capital project in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region of Québec.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and reporting on the integrated project schedule, working closely with the EPCM contractor, engineering teams, procurement, and construction to ensure the project is delivered on time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 6–10 years of scheduling experience on major EPCM mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial capital projects
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional — building, maintaining, and reporting on Level 3/4 integrated schedules
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule logic, float analysis, and earned value principles
- Experience reviewing and integrating EPCM contractor schedules and challenging contractor-reported progress




- Bilingual French/English — required for Saguenay-based role; all project communications and regulatory reporting in French

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Primavera P6 Professional (PPM) certification
- Experience with schedule risk analysis tools (Primavera Risk Analysis / Pertmaster, @Risk)
- Knowledge of Quebec mining or heavy industrial regulatory setting

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and update the Level 3/4 integrated master schedule in Primavera P6 covering all project workstreams: engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning
- Perform critical path analysis (CPM) and monitor schedule float across all disciplines — civil/earthworks, structural steel, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation
- Review, challenge, and integrate EPCM contractor and subcontractor schedules into the owner's master schedule
