Our corporate practice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced corporate law clerk to take the lead on it. You will work directly with the partners on the corporate side of the practice — minute books, filings, incorporations, reorganizations and closings — with the lawyers' support and the trust to run your files your way.

Maintaining minute books and corporate records and keeping them current Preparing documents for corporate reorganizations and rollovers,



working with the lawyers and clients' accountants Assisting on share and asset purchase and sale transactions — searches, closing agendas, closing documents and closing books Handling extra-provincial and business-name registrations, NUANS reports and corporate searches Helping to build precedents and systems as the department grows Several years' experience as a corporate law clerk in an Ontario law firm — ideally seven or more — and comfortable working independently Working knowledge of the Ontario Business Registry and Corporations Canada online filings Experience with Microsoft Office Careful, organized and accurate, with solid drafting and communication skills Law Clerk diploma or ILCO designation an asset; real estate or estates experience a bonus Compensation will be above market rate for the right candidate and will reflect your experience and capabilities in other areas of law — we are happy to discuss it openly from the first conversation.
