Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cookies and specialty items with attention to detail and quality.
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks, ensuring all items are made according to safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about baked goods and cakes offering product recommendations when required.
- Follow recipes, production schedules and food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in baking or food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong skills in baking and food presentation techniques.
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or delivery is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and team spirit.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 20kg, twist and bend and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary arts.
