Riverside Childcare Centre-Westwood Location is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Infant & Toddler Educator to join our Westwood team as a part-time Lead Teacher.

The ideal candidate is confident leading an Infant/Toddler classroom, supporting other educators, and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children.

Position Details

- Position: Part-Time Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher
- Location: Riverside Childcare Centre – Westwood, Port Coquitlam
- Wage: $22–$23 per hour, based on experience, plus applicable ECE Wage Enhancement (ECE-WE)
- Schedule: Part-time; specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview
- Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the Infant/Toddler classroom
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based activities
- Create a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning setting
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs
- Manage daily feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines
- Observe and document children’s learning and development
- Guide and collaborate with other classroom educators
- Maintain positive and professional communication with families




- Ensure the classroom remains clean, safe, and organized
- Follow BC Child Care Licensing Regulations and centre policies

Qualifications
- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- Valid BC Infant and Toddler Educator Certificate
- Previous experience in an Infant/Toddler program is required
- Lead-teacher or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Clear criminal record check
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable, patient, professional, and passionate about working with young children
