About the Position

Mother-ease is a Canadian manufacturer of reusable cloth diapers and related products, produced in our St. Catharines facility.

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Production Assistant to support our manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on role involving a variety of production tasks, including preparing and cutting fabric, operating production equipment, applying snaps, heat pressing, laser cutting, helping organize production, and occasionally driving to Toronto for supplier pickups and deliveries.

Previous manufacturing experience is not required. We are primarily looking for someone who is reliable, capable, willing to learn, takes direction well, and takes pride in doing a job properly.

Responsibilities The Production Assistant will help with:

- Laying fabric accurately for production
- Cutting fabric and production components
- Operating our snap machine and applying snaps to products
- Heat pressing printed materials and components
- Operating laser-cutting equipment
- Preparing materials and components for the sewing team
- Organizing cut work and production materials
- Moving and handling rolls of fabric and other supplies
- Monitoring what materials and components are required for upcoming production
- Assisting with basic production planning and workflow organization
- Helping identify shortages or production needs
- Maintaining clean and organized production areas
- Driving to Toronto/GTA occasionally to pick up or drop off fabric, supplies, or other materials
- Assisting with other production tasks as required

Education and previous manufacturing experience are less important to us than attitude, reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Driving Requirements

Because occasional supplier pickups and deliveries are part of the position, applicants must:

- Hold a valid Ontario G driver's licence
- Have an acceptable driving record for company insurance purposes
- Be comfortable driving in Niagara and the Toronto/GTA area

Physical Requirements This is an active manufacturing position and involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working on your feet throughout the day.

Applicants should be comfortable handling rolls of fabric, boxes, and production materials as required.

Hours & Compensation

- $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
