Opportunity Overview The Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN) is seeking a relationship-focused and commercially minded Partnership Account Manager to support the growth, retention and success of CFIN's partner portfolio.
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development, this role will serve as a key day-to-day contact for CFIN partners, ensuring strong relationship management, timely delivery of partnership commitments and ongoing identification of opportunities to deepen engagement.
The Partnership Account Manager will work closely with partners to understand their priorities and coordinate with internal teams and ensure our partners realize meaningful value from their relationship with CFIN. The incumbent will play an important role in project management, partner satisfaction, renewals, and identifying account growth opportunities that can be advanced by the Business Development team.
This is an ideal role for someone who combines strong relationship-management skills with commercial curiosity. You are organized and proactive; comfortable working with clients, partners and internal stakeholders; and, naturally look for ways to make partnerships stronger and more valuable over time.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage & Grow Partner Relationships
- Serve as a primary day-to-day relationship contact for an assigned portfolio of CFIN partners.
- Build trusted relationships and develop a strong understanding of each partner's business priorities and objectives.
- Support the development of account plans and act as a project manager for all partner-related deliverables and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular partner check-ins and account reviews to assess satisfaction, engagement and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain account plans for priority partners, including objectives, engagement strategies and renewal plans.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships, expand partnerships and introduce partners to additional CFIN programs, events and services.
- Identify renewal and expansion opportunities and work with the Business Development team to advance them.
Drive Partnership Performance & Insights
- Monitor and analyze partner engagement,
deliverables, audience reach and other relevant performance metrics to assess partnership effectiveness.
- Develop regular partner business reviews that translate performance data and CFIN insights into clear recommendations and opportunities for partners.
- Use data and analytics to demonstrate partnership value, identify trends and inform renewal and expansion strategies.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Events, Regional Innovation Directors, and other CFIN teams to coordinate partner activations and deliverables.
- Work with internal teams to gather, interpret and present relevant data and insights to partners in a clear and compelling way.
- Track partnership activity, outcomes and opportunities within CFIN's CRM and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve partner performance, engagement and overall return on investment.
Identify Commercial Opportunities
- Develop a strong understanding of CFIN's partnership offerings, programs, events, membership and ecosystem capabilities.
- Identify opportunities within existing accounts for additional engagement, sponsorship, programming or strategic collaboration.
- Recognize emerging partner needs and translate them into potential CFIN solutions.
- Work with the Business Development team to develop and advance qualified expansion opportunities.
- Support proposal development, presentations and renewal conversations as required.
- Monitor partner engagement and account performance to identify opportunities for retention and growth.
Strengthen the Partner Experience & CFIN's Ecosystem
- Act as a knowledgeable connector between partners and the broader CFIN ecosystem.
- Facilitate relevant introductions between partners and CFIN members, innovators, investors, industry leaders and other stakeholders.
- Gather partner feedback and market intelligence to continuously improve CFIN's offerings and value proposition.
- Support partner recognition and visibility through appropriate CFIN channels.
- Contribute to the development of tools, processes and best practices that improve partnership management, project management and the overall partner experience.
What You Bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, partnerships, client success, business development, sponsorship, marketing or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience managing external relationships and delivering against client or partner expectations.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Commercially curious with an ability to identify opportunities to deepen relationships and create additional value.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to follow-up and problem solving.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple internal and external teams.
- Experience using CRM systems (such as Salesforce or Zoho CRM) and maintaining accurate relationship and account information.
- Strong presentation, writing and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in food & beverage, CPG, technology, innovation, professional services or a related ecosystem is an asset.
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
