Duties
- Assist nursing staff with patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly to the medical team
- Help with medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
- Maintain detailed records using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes
- Support patient comfort by providing emotional reassurance and effective communication in both English and French
- Operate medical equipment and computer systems efficiently to support clinical workflows
- Organize patient files and manage schedules to optimize time management and organizational efficiency
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer operation skills
- Strong communication skills in both English and French to interact effectively with diverse patients and team members
- Previous acute care experience or background in nursing is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a caring approach toward patients’ needs
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining professionalism
