Become a key player in pediatric research as a Research Occupational Therapist at CHEO in Ottawa. You'll manage cutting-edge studies focused on child rehabilitation assessments. CHEO Research Institute is hiring two Occupational Therapists for casual positions. You will facilitate hybrid assessments for a virtual assessment study and a Randomized Control Trial.
Your responsibilities include collaborating with families and conducting assessments both virtually and in-person at CHEO. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement personalized goals for child participants
- Schedule and perform clinical assessments remotely
- Administer various upper extremity functional assessments
- Support families in understanding evaluation results
- Participate in post-assessment data management
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy required
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- In good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Familiarity with assessments for children with hemiplegia
- Strong communication skills with clients and caregivers
