Objeory Salary: CAD $36.26 – $36.26 per hour.
Position: Relief Full Time Pharmacy Technician.
Locations: Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Mission Memorial Hospital, Abbotsford/Mission, BC.
Term: Until January 2027 or until return of incumbent.
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical care and service excellence across Abbotsford and Mission hospitals. This dynamic and rewarding role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on patient well‑being in a collaborative, fast‑growing environment.

Responsibilities - Process clinically reviewed and approved medication orders for distribution to patients, clients, or residents.
- Receive prescriptions (verbal and non‑verbal) from practitioners, verify completeness and authenticity, including allergy status and demographics.
- Enter orders, count, measure, package, and re‑package medications, and compound sterile products according to established procedures.
- Perform final checks of dispensed prescriptions to ensure accuracy.
- Handle temporary inpatient leave of absence prescriptions by reviewing, translating, and converting existing orders previously approved by a pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate drug and personal health information in the pharmacy information system.
- Transfer prescriptions between pharmacies and receive incoming prescriptions.
- Keep records of medication verification and quality assurance checks.
- Distribute medications and maintain inventory, wardstock, and narcotic records.
- Identify and return or destroy outdated drugs based on lot expiry dates.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, stocking pharmaceuticals, labels, containers, and glassware per procedures.
- Perform clerical duties such as keyboarding, answering telephone, filing, and maintaining prescription records.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education: Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent education, training, and experience. Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
