Located at 725 Coursol Road, Sturgeon Falls, ON, Canada, West Nipissing General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. We are looking for a compassionate individual who is ready to contribute to our mission in a casual role with flexible schedule ranging from 0 to 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform venipunctures and other blood collection procedures with precision and care.
2. Ensure accurate labeling and handling of specimens to maintain integrity.
3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
4. Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate concerns and provide clear instructions.
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care and laboratory operations.
6.



Document and input patient information accurately into the hospital's database.

Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Completion of a recognized phlebotomy training program or equivalent experience.
2. Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician is preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in using laboratory information systems is an asset.

Compensation:

$30.84 - $35.15 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
