Windsor Regional Hospital supports two Emergency Department sites, the Ouellette and Met Campus serving our community at approximately 107,000 visits per year. Specialty services at each site include Mental Health, Cardiac Care, Stroke, Trauma, Oncology, Pediatrics and Women and Children. As a Physician Assistant within the Emergency Department you will become an integral part of the team supporting all services.

The PA will be expected to see patients independently, take a clinical history pertinent to the problem at hand, get collaborate information from all available resources, meet with family members, carry out the appropriate physical examination, formulate a detailed risk assessment, diagnosis, and closely work with multi-disciplinary team and create a management plan. Additional learning opportunities will be supported. Successful individual may be required to work any shift (days, evenings, nights) and weekends.

Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and with respect in an oral and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines Demonstrates ability to perform complete and appropriate clinical assessment and development of a treatment plan in accordance with medical directives Demonstrate ability to work in a cooperative care model with all members of the health care team French Language proficiency an asset. Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program (Canadian/US) or equivalent.
