Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pizza Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas and other menu items, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. Cook will work closely with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping ingredients, assembling toppings, and portioning dough
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
- Serve customers efficiently when required, providing friendly and professional service
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred, especially within a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques specific to pizza making
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude toward customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic kitchen experience including use of cooking equipment and tools
- Reliable team player with good communication skills
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is a plus
