Lead the future of land use as the Manager of Planning Services in Colchester, Nova Scotia. Engage in impactful projects focused on strategic planning, policy development, and community enhancement. This permanent full time role oversees a dedicated team and reports to the Director of Community Development.
You’ll coordinate planning services, provide expert advice on implementing programs, and manage development initiatives while ensuring strong customer service. Your finance and budgeting experience will support the department’s organizational vision. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning services and support staff
- Coordinate infrastructure planning and long-range initiatives
- Implement land use policies and regulations
- Manage special planning projects and team objectives
- Facilitate financial planning and budgeting processes Requirements:
- Degree in planning from an accredited program
- 3-5 years of management experience in a municipal setting
- Knowledge of planning principles and municipal by-laws
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial practices
