Canada Post is seeking two Postal Clerks – Retail and Operations for a temporary on-call position in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. This role offers experience across both mail operations and retail customer service environments, with shifts covering days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Job Responsibilities: Perform a variety of sales and customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction Operate a computer point-of-sale system Maintain floor displays and conduct merchandising and inventory control Maintain a high level of knowledge of postal products, services, and delivery information Process financial transactions including cash, cheques, debit, and credit card payments Receive, sort, sequence, and batch mail items Operate mail processing equipment (clearing jams, removing mail from sorting machines, etc.) where applicable Transport mail between floors and sections using rolling or motorized equipment where applicable Operate a computer to key in data when applicable Review mail items for address accuracy and proper postage Stand in one place for up to 3.5 hours at a time Handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs)



and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kilograms (35 lbs); bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying as required Qualifications: Experience in customer service in a retail environment (required) Sales experience is an asset Experience working in a production environment is an asset English language proficiency (English Essential) Flexible availability across days, evenings, overnights, and weekends Physical ability to handle mail items up to 22.7 kg and stand for extended periods Canada Post is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, Persons with disabilities, Members of visible minorities, and Women.
