Key Responsibilities

- Act as a procurement business partner and participate in planning sourcing initiatives for the professional services category

- Participate in preparing and conducting requests for proposals and calls for candidates

- Manage the consultant registry

- Analyze bids and negotiate with suppliers

- Carry out specific assignments and contribute to projects affecting the department’s operations

- Analyze specific situations and recommend appropriate solutions

- Participate in procurement intelligence and market-monitoring activities

- Contribute to implementing the department’s strategic procurement plan in alignment with the organization’s business objectives

- Ensure compliance with policies, directives, standards, and procedures related to the acquisition of goods and services

- Collaborate with internal partners to define and assess business needs for acquiring goods and services

- Conduct acquisitions through requests for quotations and calls for tenders

- Draft recommendations, negotiate agreements, and arrange contract execution

- Monitor implementation, make the necessary adjustments during the contract term, and evaluate suppliers at the end of the contract

- Manage the procurement process for professional services

- Develop and maintain business relationships and agreements with suppliers

- Ensure contract compliance, monitor price trends, and analyze renewals

Requirements





- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (a specialization in procurement or supply management is considered an asset), law, or another relevant field

- At least one year of relevant experience

- Excellent knowledge of the market, practices, trends, and issues related to procurement and insurance sectors (an asset)

- Functional proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties, work tools, or interactions with English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to support the company’s growth objectives
