This role requires a Health and Safety Specialist to implement and enhance the safety program across WCRL locations in Vancouver, Nanaimo, and Chilliwack. You will provide expert guidance on WorkSafeBC legislation and offer support for safety training programs, ensuring compliance and fostering safety awareness among employees. Your leadership in this role will have a direct impact on workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:



• Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines • Conduct workplace inspections and address compliance issues • Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions • Prepare safety reports and maintain compliance documentation • Train current staff and orient current hires on safety protocols

Requirements: • Minimum three years' experience in OH&S; • Certification in OH&S; from a recognized institution • Knowledge of WSBC requirements and hazard identification • Strong communication and organizational skills • Leadership abilities in health and safety initiatives
