Job Profile
- Education: University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Aerospace expertise: Familiarity with specifications, design, integration, as well as change management and configuration processes in the aerospace industry.
- Cabin knowledge: Operational and functional knowledge of aircraft cabin interiors.
- Language skills: Bilingualism (French and English) required for oral and written communication.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and CATIA V5 software.
- Personal qualities: Team player, dynamic, with good communication skills.
- Leadership and judgment: Initiative, good planning skills, sense of responsibility, ease of negotiation, and excellent judgment.
- Travel: This role may involve occasional travel within Canada and internationally.
- Compliance: This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Competitiveness & Development: Drive A220 Cabin competitiveness and execute new development projects (improvements, cost reduction, complex configurations).
- Specification & Customization: Define aircraft cabin customization and specifications.
- Supplier Integration: Coordinate with worldwide Airbus entities and integrate supplier engineering activities.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical meetings (Design Reviews, Supplier IPDT) and conduct Product Design Trade Studies, including certification/regulation.
- Interface Management:
Define and develop configuration interface requirements.
- Issue Resolution & Integration: Provide engineering resolutions (short, medium, long-term) and ensure incorporation for on‑time aircraft delivery.
- Change Management & Support: Execute changes via the Change Management Process/Gates for development projects, and support various engineering stages (testing, installation, assembly).
- Project Tracking & Governance: Report project progress, risks, and opportunities via governance forums; establish tracking systems for engineering activity visibility.
