Lead philanthropic efforts in the setting sector with The Hilary & Galen Weston Foundation in Toronto. This full-time position focuses on urban greenspaces and freshwater ecosystems across Canada. As the Program Director, Environment, you will take charge of strategic development and program design in the realm of environmental funding.
Collaborating closely with the Executive Director, you will develop grant-making strategies for urban greenspaces and support the stewardship of freshwater ecosystems, particularly in Atlantic Canada. Your expertise will guide innovative philanthropic efforts and community-led initiatives aimed at revitalizing ecosystems and fostering healthier communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute environmental funding strategies
- Manage grant portfolios to track impact and compliance
- Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and grantees
- Organize workshops and conferences for community engagement
- Generate external communication materials for visibility Requirements:
- Advanced degree in urban planning or related fields
- Minimum five years in a leadership role related to environmental grantmaking
- Experience in project management and financial tracking
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
