- Act as lead and main contact for the 9-8-8 Training and Education program
- Provide leadership and administrative oversight for 9-8-8 Training and Education
- Oversee funder deliverables, program operations, and budget
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including quality assurance, clinical leadership, partnerships and strategy, communications and marketing, and research and evaluation teams
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholder networks across Canada
- Monitor the needs and priorities of responders, supervisors, and the broader 9-8-8 service
- Provide regular reporting to CAMH leadership and through funder reporting processes
- Represent the program at internal and national tables and committees and provide leadership to program committees
- Respond to emerging issues and conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Identify process improvement opportunities and streamline workflows
- Embed evaluation activities to support quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Lead the end-to-end education cycle from needs assessment through training development, evaluation, and quality improvement
- Align education content and delivery with best-practice standards and CAMH Education principles
- Develop briefing notes, presentations, and ad hoc materials
- Oversee program staff, recruitment, onboarding, development, workload, performance, and day-to-day responsibilities
- Assess staffing and material needs and allocate resources efficiently
- Define roles and ensure compliance with HR policies and collective agreements
- Foster a positive, diverse, and cooperative workplace culture
- Provide performance feedback and coaching
- Prepare programmatic reports for funders and leadership
- Oversee network adherence to Training and Education requirements in relevant agreements and contracts Requirements - Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g. health,
health administration, education and training, social work) required
- Master’s degree preferred
- At least 5 years progressive leadership experience in the relevant program, or experience in the field of mental health and addiction required
- 1–3 years of project and/or people management experience is an asset
- Experience managing staff in a unionized environment is an asset
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with the mental health and healthcare sector across Canada
- Knowledge and experience with crisis lines and/or suicide prevention is an asset
- Demonstrated efforts to develop leadership competencies
- Strong relationship management and interest holder relationship skills and experience
- Ability to engage feedback and incorporate it into intricate strategic initiatives and decisions
- Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate complex conversations
- Proven analytical, organizational, conceptual, and decision-making skills reflecting sound judgement
- Experience in a training and education program is an asset
- Experience integrating equity and inclusion principles into education and training program design and delivery is an asset
- Ability to interpret research and evaluation findings and incorporate them into training and education in a practical way
- Knowledge of LMS (learning management systems) is an asset
- Strong knowledge translation skills
- Ability to remain effective in a dynamic,
fast-paced environment while monitoring personal and team-level deliverables
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working within regulatory guidelines
- Demonstrated time management skills, ability to multitask, produce high-quality accurate work, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and remain solution-focused
- Detail-oriented with ability to exercise initiative and good judgment and work independently
- Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset
- Hybrid work environment with up to 3 days in office mandatory (subject to change)
